Marvel's Agents of Shield is back on Sunday night. I'm probably on my own with that one though, eh Martin?. I'd rather watch paint dry I'm not surprised. I've read those posts about the old rubbish you watch.

We've started watching Hinterland. Not bad so far - very bleak part of Wales, good cast.

Americans continues to come up with all sorts you don't see coming.
Like me you may often say about TV series "Why are they doing that ? Why are they being so stupid. Why no disguise Where is their back up What is the back up plan" and many others
Americans is way past that. Some of the things they do, the built in redundancy, the changes of appearance, which have to match next time they see that person are very many. Very clever and often very dark

We are continuing to watch Chernobyl which is both excellent and horrifying all round up into one.

The most recent episode of Chernobyl once again highlighted how much we didn't know and the sheer scale of the disaster. Compelling and terrifying. Bio-robots indeed.

I was living in Sweden at the time. Big warnings about the immediate rain clouds risk, don't walk in / kids play in puddles and then the longer term impact to the food chain all the way up to elk and reindeer.

From what I've read about it, I'm expecting Chernobyl to win a shed-load of awards.

Well, that was a pleasant surprise. Good Omens, a series I've been really looking forward to, has landed on Amazon Prime, and wonder of wonders, it's free. I felt sure they'd be charging for it and I'd have to wait until it gets shown on BBC later this year. Episode one watched. It sticks quite closely to the book which, considering it's written by one of the original authors, Neil Gaiman, shouldn't come as too much of a shock I suppose. Such a shame that Terry Pratchett isn't still around to give his input though.

Just watched the last episode tonight. Thoroughly enjoyed the series and , being a fan of the book, was pleasantly surprised at how closely they stayed to it and how the translated it to TV.

I've been chewing through American Gods too. It's interesting but a bit too fantasy for me.. Least liked Character - that bloody leprechaun, most liked character - don't have one - The dead wife is okay I guess Another one we're watching together is Good Omens. It's quirky and quite amusing - Irrational creation theories aside.

It was too slick and "shiny" when I thought it should have been grittier, and dirtier, at least in places. I couldn't rake up the proper amount of sympathy/empathy for Shadow Moon and Ian McShane, much as I like his acting, wasn't (or at least his character, Wednesday, wasn't) charismatic enough. It was a complex novel but with a fairly simple message and "they" didn't translate that properly to the screen. I'll still probably watch series 2 though. And Mad Sweeney was a bit of an arsehole. Good Omens - To anyone who is enjoying the TV series and hasn't already read the novel, rectify that immediately.

I have tried and given up reading Neil Gaiman. He just doesn't gel with me, too much meandering.

We are really enjoying this series of Billions and I was pleased to see another series of Designated Survivor - a guilty pleasure rather than to be taken too seriously.

Coming to the end of Hanna on Amazon Prime.
Thoroughly enjoyed this very stylishly made thriller and am looking forward to Season 2 which I'm assuming will be on its way soon.
