the leftovers . . true detective Both superb series. The final episode of both The Leftovers and True Detective S2 were some of the best TV I've ever seen. Maybe we'll have to give leftovers another chance..

The absolute best ever scene from The Leftovers is the opening to season 2. Simply gobsmacking wordless drama and very heart-rending. Sadly, I can't find all of it but this is the opening part of the scene.

Vikings series 5 is back on Amazon Prime! Oh, thanks for that, Steve. We've been waiting a while! Ivar the Boneless peaks havoc in York!

Babylon Berlin is highly recommended! I watched the first one and got no further. Will have to find the catch-ups. Destined to become a classic! Some of the 1929 Berlin nightclub scenes feature Bryan Ferry singing with a band! Totally his era!

Started watching 'Trapped' on Amazon Prime. Worth watching this Icelandic crime drama for the stunning scenery and hostile weather alone!
Reminded me of when I went there for work - I remember taking off my gloves to take a photograph and a few minutes later they turned the scariest shade of red I've ever seen ...

Bancroft has been recommended although I haven't seen it yet. Sarah Parish as the lead / detective shows promise. 4 episodes, finished last night.

Bancroft has been recommended although I haven't seen it yet. Sarah Parish as the lead / detective shows promise. 4 episodes, finished last night. I watched it over four consecutive nights and I still don't know why. Episode one - quite good; promising. Episode two - still OK, noticing the odd plot hole, actually chasm would be a better descriptor than "hole." Episode three - it's beginning to unravel, as is the eponymous hero(ine). The plot has become so whacked out it's starting to make me chuckle and question my own sanity in equal measures. Episode four - I watched the previous three so I sat through this episode too. A Doctor Who Christmas special starring Roland Rat as The Doctor, Prince Philip as Nardole, and the ghost of Bob Marley as Bill, would be more believable. Plot holes became black holes and sucked any redeeming features that this show may have had into them. Melodrama at its absolute worst...is the kindest thing I can say about it. Crap ending too.

From feedback via a few friends on Facebook, if you like Stranger Things, they’ve said that Glitch and Dark are also very good.

The Grand Tour is back on Amazon Prime, I really like it, much better than the original Top Gear ever was before and certainly better than the latest version on BBC.

Just finished watching 'Trapped' and series 2 of 'Witnesses'.
Both absolutely superb and highly recommended.
I notice there will be a series 2 of Trapped as it's been so successful ...
I'm now going to watch series 1 of Witnesses - it's not on Amazon Prime but only £2.99 for the entire series at the moment.

Tin Star - Tim Roth...yeah. And he goes far here into some bad ways.
Fortitude - Love the setting in Norway. With a great bunch I've never seen before.
Ozark - Jason Bateman not taking any crap from family this time around
The Thick Of It - Hilarious British sitcom based off of and starring most of the cast of the hysterically funny film In The Loop. Peter Capaldi is perfect as the over the top asshole.

The final series of The Tunnel is ramping up into disaster all round for our two main characters.

Ye, it took me a couple tries to get past first 15 minutes, buy when I did I was glad.
It's interesting how many shows are featuring incredible cinematography these days.
Tin Star with glorious Canadian vistas and wooded areas on display in every scene.
True Detective s1, possibly my favorite television ever, with it's Southern feel that felt nearly as critical to the story as the plot itself.
The Detectorists - Wow!
Fortitude with Iceland and Arctic Circle on display like never before. I literally watch the show for the events that unfold in that town, and to absorb the scenery.
And I'm hearing of this show Trapped showing off Iceland.
Another good one that's starts with a bang and has limited but well placed humour, is Ozark, displaying the Missouri Ozarks.
