It's hard watching a drama production where you dislike every character in it (The Trial of Christine Keeler). Every single person is odious and I cannot empathise with them. As far as I can see, they all had it coming!

We are watching S2 of Lost in Space (Netflix) & Gåsmamman S4 together. The latter is gripping and shows all the bombings, shootings - gangland drug stuff going on in Stockholm and smaller towns..
I'm wading through Mr Robot by myself..
Of course Eurosport has wall to wall tennis and skiing so a lot of attention is going there.

Well, Doctor Who took an unexpected, and deliberately confusing, swerve tonight, and gave us a broad hint about where the story arc is heading for this series.
Star Trek: Picard. I can't be the only one who's watched it so far, surely? Opinions?

Yes, I watched the first Picard and am hooked.
Nice to see Orla Brady there, I recognised her voice immediately.

Its far less PC and plastic than TNG. It's still ST so it isn't going to be hugely edgy drama, but give it time. E1 often just lays the groundwork.

Was it just me or did the bad guys in e1 of Picard remind anyone else of the acrobatic Suliban(?) bad guys from "Enterprise"?
I think my inner geek is showing.

I've been greatly enjoying Mozart in the Jungle on Prime. The autobiography by Blair Tindall (full title Mozart in the Jungle: Sex, Drugs, and Classical Music) is excellent and gives an insight into the sometimes evil politics within an orchestra, all done with a light touch and very amusing. The TV series expands on it and features an oboist (not directly representing Blair) and her efforts to get into the NYPO.

I've started watching The Spy on Netflix, about the real life Israeli agent Eli Cohen. It's the first time I've been impressed with Sacha Baron Cohen, someone I have avoided like the plague until now. He plays the part very well here.

Yaaaaaaaay! It's Picard Day again. Episode 2 watched. It's a "slow-burner" is this series, but engrossing. Many, many, references to previous series' are popping up. I'm sure I only spotted about 10% of them. As an example - no spoilers - Utopia Planitia Shipyards get several mentions. Not only is it where the Enterprise, Voyager and the Defiant were built but when Picard welcomed Ben Sisko to DS9 he mentions that the Utopia Planita Shipyards was Cisko's previous posting. Episode One started with the Irving Berlin song, "Blue Skies." That's the song that Data sang at Deanna Troi's and Will Riker's wedding in the Nemesis movie, the film that marked Data's final mission. I should say that I did not remember of these things on my own. I had to look them up to see why I thought there was something familiar about them. There are many more "easter eggs" in the first two episodes, with more to come i'm sure. It's a great way of firmly embedding "Picard" in the Start Trek universe.

I shall watch that later. I like Dahj and presume that her sister will make an appearance at some point.
