My trick keeps working.
Sold a Cyrus 3 amp and a couple of pairs of Sennheisers in the last week. Good to get them out of the house. And money in the bank.

How do you make yourself part with your first amp?

Wish I'd kept my first 'real' hifi set up but where would I put it and I know I wouldn't play it Fons CQ30, Rotel 812 (?) Amp, Leak 2075 Daleks

I've got a Cyrus 1 that I bought a couple of years ago out of pure indulgence and nostalgia. Never actually fired it up and don't have a use for it at present but don't want to sell it!

Almost all kit sold.
Shake my head at the prices some have sold for. Way below their value.
Just have a pair of headphones, a Dac, pair of speakers and an amp to go.
Maybe my Nakamichi tape deck as well? Not sure why I'm holding on to it. But that's a hard one to part with.

I've had too much on and a stinker of a cold as well as other excuses stopping me Must get on the case I too have a Nakamich cassette deck as well as a well thought of B&O. Neither ever likely to be used
