So hear we go... If you have been following this post, you will be aware that, I have hinted about going crazy with the Kefs, and thanks to Vic (Trans Fi Audio) for modding the units, I can satify my need.
The good news...well so far,so good. You manage to keep all good the elements of the Kefs, and what I can only described as a larger image height in sound, performers or positioning of instruments are more solid. The overall sound this slightly smoother than x 2. This could be simply down to the extra sensitivity, as things sound more full bodied. In terms of imaging, the x 2 or x 4 will never be as holograpic as a single pair of Kefs, what I can say, that I couldn't detect any image loss from x 2 to x 4 speakers, of course this shouldn't be a surprise, and if sound image was that poor, I would have abandon at using x 2. So can the Temple Audio drive the x 4, well in short YES, loud enough for stupid levels. Can they go louder....I'm pretty sure they would if I had a larger amp like a Hypex etc....But thats another discussion for another thread.
I have posted a You Tube video of the set up, please take the replay of the sound with a pinch of salt, as it's taken off a mobile phone in mono, but it will never sound like being in the actual room ...Enjoy
Damien

Hi John, I saw on YT your video about KEF and I was so impressed with what you got from these speakers that I decided to buy them. I would like to replace the crossover capacitors in my HTS3001SE with a better polypropylene one because the sound seems slightly veiledand and I need a crossover diagram to do it. If you know what the crossover diagram of these speakers look, could you please send it to me, please. Regards Michal

Hi, I am thinking of making a completely new crossover with different crossover points and I do not know yet what capacitors I will need, but thank you for the proposal.
