Sorry to resarect an old thread, I have my speakers sat on Black Ravioli pads onto the top of the speaker stands (4 per speaker) the Solidsteel stands are filled 3/4 full on each leg, the stands have Track Audio Isolation feet under each leg. Works very well for me. Resurrect away ! I need to get around to testing the Black Ravioli I have between my E1s and the Townshend stands. Those Tad E1's are a bit nice...
I found it gave slightly more space, slightly tighter bass, and a slightly overall richer presentation.

Do you mean you placed the BRs between the Podiums and speakers, Mike? How many and how heavy are the E1s?
I could imagine my Ushers would crush the BRs out of existence, but curious to know what you find.

Yes. 4 BRs. Will take the weight of the E1s. You would need a load more, was it 9 per speaker ?
One key is checking the exact position of the E1s before and after BR removed
