Have you been near Qobuz recently, Mike?

Good to see that many of the Kate Bush Hi-Res remastered albums, previously on 30s playback, are now fully available on Qobuz. They sound all the better for it.

I reordered my playlists alphabetically in the Qobuz app, knowing at next startup Volumio would pick this up.
Once the reordering was done, I wanted to have my most favourite at the top - not possible. With the alphabetical ordering ticked, that's all you get. With custom ticked I get an ordering I did sometime ago. You can reorder by moving Playlists, drag and drop and all looked great, but then it failed to save the changes (pressing of a tick icon) with the message "Error unable to complete the operation"🙄
It won't even make one order change now, fails with same error everytime.
I know I've made minor order changes in the past ☹️

Hehe, after a couple of ignored tweets @qobuz it seems they have sort of listened 🙄 Now when you try to reorder the playlists in the app, you don't get an error message, but absolutely nothing happens🤪 This is now the same as the web browser functionality! Consistent at least.

Nope, App is back to not working with error again today.
I've messaged their customer service. Could not see anywhere to do that on the UK site, so sent the fault report to our American Qobuz cousins. We'll see.

Android app, running 10. The web browser doesn't do anything either.
Does it work for you?

I use the Qobuz Android app on my Android 10 phone and the Windows app on my desktop PC and Surface.
I also use the Volumio app on my Android tablet.
All of them are working.

Got this response from Qobuz👍
"Dear customer,
Thank you for your message.
We know about this issue and it will be normally corrected in the coming days. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Best regards"

Fair enough. It's only rarely that I've tried to sort my playlists. Easier to just remember where the song is on the list. I need to subdivide and create more lists!

I like them in alphabetical order by artist, except my Hifi favourites (ever evolving list), which I like at the top.
I have a strong dislike of regression. Something worked before, it's just sloppy testing, or incompetence for not ensuring they've not broken something when making new changes.
Okay, this is not mission critical SW, but do you want to compete effectively? Do it right then! No excuses. It's cheaper to fix bugs earlier, we all know that! They'd be sure to feel some heat if I were their boss!
Trouble is it's everywhere, Instagram have ruined the edit / copy and edit / update function. Worked perfectly, now it's a total mess!
Back on Qobuz - doesn't allow easy name edit of playlists! You can't see what's there to delete / edit. You can just delete character by character (which you can see) and then type new, and it's added at the end. Like doing it blindfolded. Amateurs! I feel another email to them coming on 🙂

You're on a mission!
I never found difficulty renaming playlists, but I may have done it on the web player.

You're on a mission! I never found difficulty renaming playlists, but I may have done it on the web player. I've not tried the rename in browser, only use the browser as a last resort🙂 The Qobuz Android app is otherwise very good. I actual like the look and feel as much as Spotify. You can't and never could reorder playlists in Spotify ☹️ So the Qobuz app is ahead there 👍

Yes, I like the Qobuz Android app, too. Use it a lot in my car and on my phone when mowing the lawn.

Has anyone else compared the Qobuz streams to a purchased download from them? I've bought a bit from them, and LMS has a My Purchases folder in the Qobuz app. Playing a purchased album and comparing comparing it with the stream is interesting. The purchased album sounds marginally better IMO. At the Qobuz end it recognises the album is purchased and just streams it unadulterated. The general streams sound extremely good, but there is definitely volume levelling DSP going on.
Comparing the purchased and streamed against locally stored and streamed yields no discernible difference whatsoever.

Qobuz support have asked my for a video capture to help then understand the renaming fault. Hehe, I'm still a verification engineer at heart and still pointing out and recreating SW bugs for developers 🤣 Don't get paid for it anymore though.
