Well that was rather timely!
Just as my FREE 90-Day trial of Amazon Music HD was coming to an end (mid-December), a nice inbox offer from Tidal this morning for 4 months subscription to Tidal HiFi for £1.99!
Like Jerry, I have signed up!

Me too , I've had a few trials in the past of Tidal and Qobuz who incidently have reduced there Hi-Rez to £14.99/ month in the USA and will soon apply the price here , that is why Tidal have done this .

I'm on the USA Qobuz Studio trial just now which is $14.99 a month or $149.99 once trial ends, handy for me just now as I'm trialling Roon again. Lack of the music I like is the only issue for both Qobuz and Tidal, but I get a lot of it via Bandcamp I signed up for the 4 month Tidal deal too 😊

I've done all the comparing I need now. The final test tonight was Yello's Touch, both 16/44 so fair comparison. Qobuz has better dynamics and a more hi-res feel to it while Tidal has brightness (admittedly not prominent on this album). Tidal also has far less of my music in hi-res.
Tidal goes, Qobuz stays.

Is the general consensus that tidal is the best quality better than deezer hifi and the rest of them then?

Opinions vary to be honest at this price point worth trying for yourself but do try others

Is the general consensus that tidal is the best quality better than deezer hifi and the rest of them then? Not by me and a fair few others, who think that Qobuz sounds better. You have to try them and listen for yourself.

You have to try them and listen for yourself. Agree I have just signed up to deezer and currently pay for Spotify. I think I will try the others short term anyway as they are all doing deals just now.

4 months of Amazon music for 99p just now too Thanks Chris. For 99p I'll have another go with it but when I try and sign up it offers £9.99 a month. Maybe it's only valid for those who have never tried the service before?
