Here are my Tannoy Chatsworth speakers for sale with 12” HPD/315/8 drivers. Original factory stickers for June 1975 with close serial numbers. The front Tannoy badges are present and correct; both grilles are in super condition as you can see. The cabinets are in good original condition for their 44 years with a deep patina, grain and shine - no restoration work has been done. Some old marks and chips to the wood, mainly on the front bottom edges as per photos; if you want perfect ‘as new’ cabs then you have the option to refurbish or replace. Crossovers are original. Also included are a pair of beautiful oak spiked stands which I had custom made this year - these get the centre of the driver around ear height and with the sand loading they tighten up the bass appreciably. The sand is loaded in stockings (good tip this!), so it can be easily removed if need be. I have absolutely loved my time with these Tannoys listening to vinyl with tube amps, but now I’m heading in a digital direction and time for someone else to enjoy them. £1500 payable in cash / bank transfer / PayPal gift.
Collection only from Highgate, London N6 or possible pick up from Manchester.

With so many (albeit delusioned) Tannoy FanFolk out there, I'm amazed these haven't sold.

Surprising they haven't gone. Must be plenty of punters ready to jump at these at that price

I'm always surprised at the "why haven't these sold yet" comments on items that are collection only, that's most likely the reason they are still for sale.
Location location location
I'd have bought loads of kit over the last few years but everything I liked was 100's of miles away, and any of the HiFi man with a van specialists either wouldn't come to Scotland or were extortionate ☹️
This is another reason I haven't tried to sell my power amp to try something else, it weighs 35kg and would need to be collection only and as good as the amp is, I don't see many potential buyers travelling from England to come buy it. So my market is greatly reduced because of that and I'm sure it would be months before it sold, if at all.
Anyway, this is a for sale thread, those speakers look great and I'm sure the buyer is out there somewhere.

Hard won experience in shipping print overnight and abroad taught me how to pack to protect. A visit to a customer's site showed me what happens to items not packed to withstand people not caring how they handle the box. Part of the deal is bomb proof packing which is easy enough to achieve. Takes time. If it will take being dropped from waist height you should be ok. If not start again.
I ship anywhere, packing to a level some call well beyond the call of duty. Naim 82 to USA, Mana racks and other including glass shelves to NZ. Various other items around Europe. This stuff is shipped from the factory at the beginning of life.
I would ship these Tannoys in 2 separate, double thickness, triple lined cardboard boxes, 4 polystyrene corners on the corners of the speakers, tight into the box, box constructed if necessary around the speaker to make sure of *no* movement internally in transit. I estimate a minimum of 2 hours, maybe 4 to pack 100%. First time probably longer. Can even be strapped down and shipped on a pallet. Cost more. Can't move much though
Direct delivery by van possible to all parts of the UK. Around £70-80 at a guess

Thanks chaps. 😀
I appreciate collection only is an issue but can deliver within an hour or two of London if it helps or can possibly get them up to Manchester.
If you like the Tannoy sound these are superb examples.

To be honest, better chance on Ebay but up the price to cover fees. I'm sure there are enough Tannoy addicts in London and the SE. Otherwise you will have to consider packing or dropping them off yourself. The market is fairly slow at the moment and it has taken me many weeks to sell kit (at a price I'm prepared to take). You need to get these out to a wider audience.

Yes they're on eBay at the moment.
I'm now investigating getting custom boxes made. Wouldn't send them in anything else I think.
