Looked at EAC years ago. Complicated EAC is a ripper. You need a burner. Ripping = reading from a CD Burning = writing to a CD-R

Burn to black discs for a better sound as well.
Or purchase a Tascam Cd copier, being honest I have 8 or 9 CD ripping software programmes all are bit perfect, yet they arn't all the same when you listen to them, they should be, but arn't they are differenices.
Remember CD's arn't bit perfect which is why they require a CIRC to play them.
I have files made by a reaviewer tyou can clearly hear the switching noise from the psu of the PC he used to make the copies on, if makimg them on a lap top, remove all uneccessary software, pair down windows to a basic amount of processes, take out the psu once the lap top is fully charged.
Set for maximum quality which should take about 8-12 minutes depending on the amount fo track, time and density of information the tracks. I prefer Wav over flac, but that takes twice the memory to store compared to flac.

Burning an audio CD from audio files requires special indexing software such as Nero to cope with the TOC (Table of Contents). Burning data files is much more straightforward and can be done from Windows.
Copying discs is even easier.

Personally l use Foobar2000 for extraction of disc, you can write tags and extract as WAV etc,and it's free. EAC is excellent, generally their is different modes of extraction, as Tony stated be patient, and pick the accurate and slow mode.
Burning the Disc, l use Nero Burning software, same again ,make sure there is a option to reduce the drive speed for Burning, and you may come unstuck on this, as some combo drives that have a DVD, built-in, are stuck on x 24 speed. It's for that reason l purchased a used a stand alone Plextor CD-R burner for £10 on ebay, they will go down to x 4 speed and reliable.

What does that leave me with ? You need to tell us first what you're trying to achieve: a) simply copying one disc to a new disc b) burning data files to a disc c) burning audio files to an audio disc d) something else
