I can only agree with you about them being superb, the quality of the bass and the ease of following the pitch of the note is revelationary with my speakers on the Podiums, not to mention the overall improved imaging. I think petea uses the smaller shelf-sized ones.

I do indeed. I have a pair of Rega Ela Mk 1.25s and Royd Apex speakers on size 1 Podiums and Shihanian Arc speakers of Size 2. The Elas and Apexs just fit and the Podiums look 'right' on them. I also have a pair of Speaker Bars on some Neat Iotas. I chose that route as they have down firing bass units.
The impact they had on the speakers / system was quite transformative.

Seconded. The Podiums are transformatory. My speakers work so well with them that it's better than a model upgrade. They reduce interactions with the room quite significantly, bringing up clarity, depth and especially bass power and extension.

I can't agree more. I have them on my speakers and sub in the UK and on my two sets of main speakers in Germany. On the sub I use the bars due to the down-firing secondary driver and I use bars on the Neat speakers in the apartment as they too have a down-firing driver. Just as effective it seems, but more fiddly to deploy. I also use his pods and platforms on other system components and find benefits there too.

Didn't realise until part way in there is Townshend and another make Live Vibe Seems like double the price of Townshend. Then we have to get them from the US
the difference is clear even on YT

I would not be without my Podiums. Never mind upgrading, they're like having new better speakers.

Hmm - the reviewer didn’t even seem totally convinced himself about the Townshends. “It seems the amps kind of did benefit from the stands” “More bass … it may have been a little bit too much” “highs were kind of nice and clear” I’ve played it back a number of times and not hearing the difference, admittedly on my small PC speakers. I certainly didn’t hear any of the improvements he claimed for the Live Vibe. If there is a ‘Profound Improvement’ I wouldn’t need to keep A-Bing each test to see if I can hear anything different. Also, I don't get this obsession some people seem to have with 'more bass'. The system needs to sound balanced - so why would you want to keep pushing the bass?? Anyway, it’s pretty meaningless unless you are in the room to hear the comparison first hand.

I remember Martin's system before and after the podiums. The bass dominated everything and it was hard to have a sense of any coherence to the music. The podiums changed that for the better. So much so that I moved to a baffless approach. This also helped give the bass clarity. So in his case, it was of better bass quality and coherence. However, I agree. I am not sure why people listen in isolation to specific frequency ranges.

He'd probably have got more benefit from putting them under his speakers! The system in the video did seem a bit tighter / better balanced with the Podiums in than without and with the other units it sounder the same as without to me, but it is impossible to tell properly via YouTube.
I use podiums under the speakers and sub in both systems (and in the small one in the apartment) and I too would not be without them. I also use Seismic Platforms under quite of a kit, including the power amplifiers (in Germany I actually use a pair of speaker bars, because of the shape / weight and because I had a spare, but their effect is the same).

I played it from laptop through BT adaptor into my system Townshend improved the sound as expected Even better sound from the Live Vibe However looks like you would have to buy them blind from the US and cross your fingers they were better A lot of money to take that risk

I don't think any sonic benefits are to be automatically expected by sticking any of these things under an amp.

I am not sure. I have 6 BR pads under my amp and no intention of taking them out. Benefits were more subtle than let's say a night and day difference. I guess with all of this it's a question of how far you want to go and how much spare capital do you have to finance it. I must admit not something I have any inclination to do.

I wouldn't put an amp on Podiums any more than I'd put speakers on Black Ravioli.
Use what works best for the job.

My TADs are on Black Ravioli on Townshend Must test the BRs as it was a long job getting them under and A / B testing wasn't done

I am not sure. I have 6 BR pads under my amp and no intention of taking them out. Not suggesting you should John, just saying there are no automatic gains to be expected from branded platforms under amps or anything else for that matter ...

While the podiums certainly do bring benefits to speakers & sources. If you have a suspended wooden floor, tight room spaces and lose base the can make a very positive difference.
Now the new podiums have some large drawback for mere mortals with shared rooms they are fugly and easy to knock or trip over the turrets. Man caves and easy going other half zero problem.
I personally use different isolation solution in my rooms they (the podiums) don't deliver the same performance especially in timbre and articulation. Different systems will generate different results. They are a worth while audition for sure.

Call me cynical but this dude we saw earlier seems very, very keen for us to buy these Live Vibe platforms, or anything else they make ...

I don't have any podiums or other products but I can utterly believe all the praise that they have got on this thread when used under speakers.
The difference I witnessed when putting a simple bicycle inner tube under my speakers was completely staggering. Wouldn't be without them now. I haven't tried any tubes under any of the electronics but I will give it a go.
