Great gig The first band The Picture Book kind of swamp rock act pretty basic with a loud drum sound but fun. Blues Pills were excellent the vocalist has lots of energy and knows how to hold an audience. A bit heavier live than on record. The venue reminded me of the Underworld or Old Marquee. A small sweaty rock club, the perfect setting for a 70s based hard rock band. Highly enjoyable.

You're so lucky being close to the London venues. I've never been without booked concerts to look forward to since I was a teenager. We do have one classical concert to look forward to: the Amati Orchestra performing Stravinsky Firebird and Shostakovich Symphony 10 at the Holy Trinity, Sloane Square, in March 2023. That should raise the roof! There's a family connection. www.amatiorchestra.com/

Mike was excellent Dennis Chambers on drums and his wife Leni on mostly rhythm guitar. Mike was on fire tonight and was ripping it up. Perhaps best gig I been too this year only let down was doing the silly Pat Metheny vocals that I just find annoying.

Call me a skinflint but gigs are too expensive these days. Getting to the gig is too expensive. Drinks and food at the gig are too expensive. Everything is too expensive. Do nothing and enjoy being miserable like me.

Yes saw Maiden for 50 pence But gigs are where it is at for me Each to their own, I guess In my view, if I can get close to 3000 gigs before I die, it's been a great life At the moment over 2000 concerts probably close to 2500

I've just booked to see Iron Maiden at the O2 Arena next year. Taking my son with me - they were his first ever concert a couple of years ago...
