Never really a Eurovision fan, but this is the exception. She looks quite gorgeous here, as well:
And a stereo version:

I love this! Cosmo Jarvis is a local kid who I remember at our local CofE primary aged about 6 and stanking around with a huge curly Afro. He's now based in Totnes, and started to make his name a few years ago as a singer/songwriter and film maker, but seems to be heading into acting these days.
There's loads of his stuff on Youtube but this is my favourite, shot in a single take in Holbeton village hall:

I don't think Greg Lake is given enough credit for his superb voice, just perfect for their brand of Prog.

The last few weeks I've been on a bit of a Louis Prima (and KitKat) kick - and why not? Saw this cd on ebay and out of curiosity thought I'd investigate. Well, it was only £1.99 (reduced to £1.59 at checkout.). Wasn't really expecting anything special and imagined it would be a mono recording. It arrived, and I didn't bother with it for a couple of days. Eventually I bunged on the old joanna, and gave it a spin.
And WHAT A SURPRISE!!!
On two counts:
1) The performance. It's an absolute HOOT! You have Louis's vocal shinannigans combined with his mastery of the trumpet bouncing off both Keely and Sam B. Then there's Keel'ys vocals, which are an delight, sounding so natural and dynamic. And then you have Sam Butera putting in stonking performances on sax. Not only that, he contributes two vocal tracks, which are just classic.
2) The recording. It was in fact stereo. And pretty impressive it was too. Frank Sinatra's "Live At The Sands" is regarded by some, and it does sound good. But I'd have to say this was even better. On headphones it sounds quite intimate and you feel like you're there in the audience. Capital's state of the art mobile set-up was used and the engineers did a great job at capturing the event, which was in 1958.
The cd was part of a series which came out in 2005 to celebrate Las Vega's centenary. Others include Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Elvis Presley and Bobby Darin. The Bobby Darin item has been issued previously as "The Curtain Falls: Live At The Flamingo Club".
Thinking it was so good, I snapped-up two more copies!
Seems to be available as a digipak.
For some reason there are long pauses between tracks, and a bit of skipping. The disc itself is just 60 minutes in length.
