Guess Pause on a CD player is a bad thing for a long time, is it ?
Normally stop the CD if I know I'm going for 20-30 minutes or longer. Rarely I have Paused overnight.
The TAD turns itself off after about 20 minutes if not used so no choice there. So TAD think this is a good thing. Trying the sequence of button pushes in the manual has not allowed me to keep it on yet
I have already worked out that Spotty and others won't mind being paused much, streamers too I guess.

It always used to be a "no-no," but I'm not sure if there's a valid reason these days, or whether it's still just a carryover from the days of audio cassette machines and VCRs. I'd never do it though because there's really no need as far as I can see.

There is more noise when on Pause than Stop Motor whizzing round, laser burning out ?

Pause keeps the CD spinning, but if the TAD times out after 20 mins I shouldn't worry.

Leave it on - it helps burn in on new players ...

Leave it on - it helps burn in on new players ... First time I've heard this one ... Sounds implausible, although being implausible means sod all where audiophiles are involved
