Can't really add a lot to Mike's and Paul's early 60's experiences of music . Ready Steady Go was a must watch , remember The Beatles singing She Loves You on Thank Your Lucky Stars . TOTPs was essential from '64 ? We never had a record player till a radiogram appeared about '68 , Mum listened to an album called Music From The Mountains and Movie Film Scores . I bought my first record Albatross - Fleetwood Mac , couldn't afford an LP my first came a couple of years later The Beatles Let It Be . Always had the radio on , Radio 1 probably and Luxembourg . The Who took over from The Beatles , Tommy I played that to death and then an epiphany , a friends younger brother who was learning piano was playing a record which stopped me in my tracks , ELP's Pictures At An Exhibition and that set my listening firmly on course . When asked today what my favourite music era or genre is I say 60's , although I loved all my early 70's prog it's hearing things like Barry McGuire's Eve Of Destruction , Buffalo Springfield's For What It's Worth that really hit home , I didn't own these records or remember hearing them at the time , but I did and they are in my memory banks . There is a 3 CD compilation called Magic Bus hits from The Hippie Trail , if I only owned one record it would be this.

Have a look at this set too, there's not much, if any, crossover with the Magic Bus CDs

Cheers Paul I've ordered it Not a bad price for a 5 CD set either. I've got this one knocking about at home somewhere too. Crossover with the other two sets is starting to creep in but I still think there are enough non-duplicated tracks to consider it.

Listening to all the Bonzo CDs I have I realised that I really like the older style music they play so maybe I could have lived musically in an earlier time Trad Jazz seems to be the best description, but I don't like Trad Jazz ....
What other descriptions for music like Tubas in the Moonlight
Hello Mabel
Or could it be the way they play ? IE. very well
