Wow!
Alan (Firebottle) has really lobbed a grenade over on Art of Sound (thread - "Grounding boxes - The real deal" is now on page 14)!
I think Macca might be onto something though! I have just placed bananas on top pf my speakers and I swear the bass now goes deeper! LOL!

Ear / brain confusion Tony dropped in some new formula, different cables to try from TADs into the RTZ They are better in some ways for sure ..... More testing required Hate it when things aren't easy and clear cut. Mr Lazy says Curses. Will have to listen to more music ! (like I was going to anyway)

Listening with these new cables in place
Lots of lovely bass. Not sure about the rest of the sound though compared to what it was. Doesn't seem 'right', perhaps muffled which may or may not be the right word. More listening

Hmm! Very strange!
I was just reading the grounding box thread on PFM and got to page 4 ......... and it looks as though the entire thread has been pulled!
Must have been some controversial comment made on page 7!!!!

Mike You now seem to getting the jist of the two now one one if those samples were purely prove a point execerise and the material to make those cables plus four more only cost myself personally four figures to obtain however I feel it goes to show all that is proficated as being the best does quite live up to the hype

Fortunately we are in a world here where mains cables do make a difference so even grounding cables get a look in

Well my banana loving friend I would suggest it could relate to the general consensus of the audio comunity believing that material 'x' deliveries a more preferred presentation due to its conductive properties which I have never given any credence to what do ever.

I do apologise Banana Man it was a typo it was profligate sorry to many fumes in the lab I can cope with smelling pistakes, but completely different worms is too much of a leap. Wots with this Banana Man bollox? I only like Bananas when they've just turned from green to yellow. Get a brown spot on the skin and you can bin 'em as far as I'm concerned.

Hi Mike
These cables I lent you to test, are purely for that, I have no intention of making those, this was purely to prove a point. If you remember I mentioned on numerous occasions that I felt that a certain material wasn't as good as it was touted as being in this application, so I made twelve identical cables, one with material 'x' the other with the usual material, and matched all of the ends (stripped, dipped and plated plus Cryo), identical dielectric and shielding.
The result is quite easy to ascertain, however I did not mention to any of six people that tested them thus far which ones were which.
So question is which ones do find are over egging the pudding? the ones with the brown heat shrink markers or the non marked version?
