Copper bus bar weighs quite a bit. It would also be a good material for an RFI drain on the signal ground.

Thanks for that suggestion. Satisfies my curiosity as to how the magic is achieved. I’ll leave it there.

I just love these people who have an opinion based on... nothing.
I have no opinion, I haven't tried one.

I heard this model when I went to Tony’s. I didn’t hear the system without it, however. As per usual, I’d test it out at home before anything.

Well I have 5 minutes so here we go.
I believe that the Vertex Pico uses a copper device, not sure what Entreq main connection is but it does have their own propitiatory rfi removal material inside as well.
The RTZ does not use a copper in any form, if copper was used it would need to be a large piece of copper to equate to the weight involved that RTZ tips the scales at given its small footprint. The copper would be have to be a least 3 times the size of the enclosure both in width and depth. If the material was silver the cost of such material would be seriously prohibitive
Also contained inside the enclosure is our (Coherent) own propitiatory emi/rfi absorption materials, when combined together they do produce a rather desirable effect.
Both of these materials and their IP belong to ourselves.
Quite straightforward if try and like what it does then you may wish to purchase, if you do not feel it makes no difference then you don't pretty straightforward do not purchased but you have scratched the itch.
However you can measure this no problem at all.
Martin
You listened to the original model, the RTZ II is quite a different beast, hence why it has taken four years to take it to the next progression.

Love that, it is exactly the point that I try to make over and over again! Nobody forces people to buy things, they buy them because they feel they make enough difference for the outlay they are willing to spend, usually from their available disposable income.

I am correct about the signal ground, yes?

This is a chance to wheel out my mantra once again:
You CANNOT be ripped off unless a) there was fraud involved or b) you are an idiot.
I really dislike use of the term for something someone considers to be too expensive. You make your decision based on a value assessment and whether you can afford it. If you don't want it, don't buy it!

Hi Chris (thanks)
I would suggest that all of the devices that have been mentioned must be using this theory otherwise I feel it maybe counter productive.
Reference ground or Reference clock, Reference earth would indicate to myself that a single point of reference would be involved.
The other issue that has come about from this is the difference between Earth's and Ground's semantics which actually are very prevalent.
This is a grounding box and doesn't involve connecting to the mains (240VAC) supply in any way.

Martin - I don't disagree with yourself and Paul, many people are happy to decide to buy a product based on the difference it makes to their system and whether they can afford it or not. But also for many people an important part of the the value assessment is a natural curiosity about what materials are used and how something works.

It's not aimed at anyone, Chris.
Jules - yes, I agree, materials used and build quality all come into it.

Just to clarify, I have seen nothing but good things from Coherent and Tony, would love to fly him over and refurbish my setup.
Due to lack of funds for such a joyous occasion I have to settle for examination and picking for details, perhaps finding a base concept I might apply, until a windfall of funds appear that is.
Thanks Tony, good enough a hint, didnt know RFI/EMI could be "sinked" into a material, just had in mind regular safety ground and shielding.

Tony bringing me in more cables to try.
He has tested 5 (!!!) connected to a TAD D1000 and heard a huge difference.
In the meantime I may get around to testng one more in the Belles Pre. Taking out from the Isis, testing, then into the Belles, back into the Isis
Sorcery comes to mind. There is so much we don't know.
