I'll hammer the black one for a while and see if I can run the batteries out on that

As soon as the batteries run out on my old silver remote I'm buying one of the new black ones. Will work better and can put rechargeables in it ...

Fabulous little amp still doing great work in the kitchen diner Question to improve sound I have a ferrite choke on the cable from the PSU right next to the amp From my knowledge on SMPSs this seems to be the wrong place There are no ferrite chokes on the cable from the mains plug to the PSU or at the PSU end or at the feed to the amp Assume a good move to put them in but where and how many ? Double up the cable around the choke ala Stratmangler ? Might it make the sound worse ?

A choke right close to the mains plug will stop its noise polluting your ring mains.
I found benefit in changing the USB cable from my PC to a decent one from eBay. It's a great amp and still gives faultless service on my PC system.

On a quick A / B test it increases echo and sustain of notes
I'll take that
Digital cable from Pioneer CD into SMSL
