Just finished watching after a few sessions.
I thought Wildwood Kin were fantastic - loved the sound, the harmonies etc
Presumed the album would be amazing and I would buy it, how wrong I was - they've been made hugely more commercial and electronic. Didn't like it at all ...
Kiki Dee - never really taken much notice but enjoyed her songs, and her guitarist was just superb.
Gary Numan was great fun doing Are Friends Electric - top tune that, always liked it ...
Richard Thompson - now there is someone I really need to investigate. Loved what he did.
Peter Frampton - loved his turn, need to listen to Comes Alive again and check out some newer material ...
Robert Vincent - great sound, I can see why they got him to close the show, the music was so retro it could have been 40 years ago ... another excellent guitarist there.

That's good to know, he put on a good show then? I'll have to try and watch it somewhere. I'm so pleased, I really would like to see him do well, such a great guy. He's just sold out one of his upcoming gigs, no doubt this has helped  |

The Whistle Test effect is back! Was funny seeing John Otway talking about going from a handful of people attending to sell-out gigs ... Actually amazing that Robert Vincent manages to sing he opens his mouth so little!  He has the benefit of a very good band, really tight sounding. |
