The Audio Standard Bake Off - ASBO 2018 The Audio Standard management team is pleased to announce the second ASBO event. Date: Saturday 21st April 2018 Venue: The Victory Hall, Farley Hill, RG7 1TR (nr. Reading) Time: 3:00 - 9:00pm The ASBO is an annual opportunity for us to get together, away from our computer screens, and prove we are real people! We will be putting together audio systems made up from members' own set-ups, ranging from the extremely cost effective to the aspirational. Guests may bring items of their own equipment and lots of music. There will be good sounds, good systems and good cheer as we meet to enjoy our common pursuit: the love of well reproduced music. Putting faces to names is always fun, too! The idea is a convivial gathering in order to try out system components and play music of every conceivable type according to taste. There are two rooms that we can use.
The TAS Admin team are funding this event and hope to make it as successful as the last. We look forward to meeting old friends and new. Attendance is by invitation.
Please let us know if you wish to attend (send a PM to ChrisB, John, MartinT and comment here).

Yay!!!
Yes please, I'd like a slice of that again. So pleased to see it's at the same venue. As we said last time, it had great potential.

What's wrong with you man? You've got a car, haven't you? What so I drive from Wales to Farley Hill, get there for the 3pm start, then at 3.30 - 4.00pm (at latest) leave to drive back to Cardiff to see Beth Hart at 7pm - trying to squeeze dinner in before the gig starts. It's a 2.5 half hour drive on a good day, as I don't speed. Also, probably not having heard anything, just sat watching a bunch of old geezers fiddling with tables, amps, speakers, wires and boxes of fuses whilst scratching their heads wondering where the music is . . . I know, what's wrong with me

Shame, though. You might have suggested that we plug it in.
