I thought I had a heavy platter until I saw that! The later Source did not really have a platter it was more like a ring that sat over the Sub platter

I think mines big enough mind you oversize high mass platters are always good for stability, what I don't understand are things like this. I would hazard a guess that with no damping and no mass, it ain't gonna sound much kop. Be interested to hear one though

I have never seen that one, but Ed Meitner made a platterless deck that was supposed to be quite good.
