Ronnie James Dio was one of the greatest Heavy Rock singers to grace this earth.. Jesus cannot be as bad as the Gillan Sabbs combo!

Heaven and Hell is a superb album. But you have to forget what went before to enjoy it at its best.

I only like Ozzy era Sabbath. Actually the Band did some recording of the Album with Ozzy.. Was recorded in the USA. Its well recorded especially Bill Wards Bass drum, everyone knows that drum kits are very hard to mic up correctly. If you listen to the opening of the Title track it will remind you straight away of an old Sabbs number

I'll have to give that a chance. I've got all the Ozzy albums of course but no Dio era ...
I did like his band 'Dio' at the time. I went to see Dio at the Manchester Apollo, probably the 'Holy Diver' tour and it was great - a very young Vivian Campbell was on shredding duties and was very impressive.

Ronnie was a great showman & singer. A true loss to rock music, it actually upset me when i heard he passed away, i loved those early Rainbow LP's when i was at School. .. Good album 'Heaven & Hell' but i cannot get on with 'Mob Rules'
Never got on with the last two Ozzy Sabbs albums 'Technical Ecstasy' & 'Never Say Die' either

Ah yes, sorry, I should have said I have all the Sabbath albums up to and including Sabotage ...
I've not listened to Rainbow 'On Stage' for a long time - that's a nice lp.

Can't get enough Ritchie Blackmore ... And I can't believe I have never seen him play live. Definitely my favourite guitarist.

And how was it? Who was singing? It was the Reformation of the Mk.II Purple [Gillan/Blackmore/Paice/Lord/Glover] Great played a lot of the old numbers.. Thing is im never happy cos i always expect these type of bands to be like they were in the early 70's..
