Just thought I would post these as some folk are liking what Lukas does. Hopefully not the usual dull Nashville soundalikes I go for Some of these songs are on the album and I personally love to see them raw, as crafted by the writer. There's a great quote in the comments "When the apprentice surpasses the master!!!" I like that. I thought I'd add this too, it's the recorded version of the video song Jules posted 'Find Yourself', but with the missing female vocal, which really makes the song for me - it's Lady Gaga And this might surprise some who view her as just an auto-tuned pop diva - Stefani can really sing and I think she's possibly changing her image, or trying to? 50 secs in she nails a short of Zeppelins 'Black Dog'. Pretty darned good I think, soul in bucket loads.

Lady Gaga really can sing! That she can, her album Joanne, apart from one song is really rather good and I've got it, as is her duet album with Tony Bennett. A legend of the future if she keeps it up.

I think she is a very interesting character ... I would like her more if she wasn't so keen on wearing fur though.

I like GaGa. Changed my opinion after I saw her playing the piano live on something or other. Very talented.

I'm probably preaching to the choir here, but you guys did know that Lukas Nelson is the son of the legend that is Willie Nelson, right? Also, Promise Of The Real (with Micah Nelson, another of Willie's sons) backed Neil Young on the Monsanto album and tour.
I'm not sure whether to read anything into this or not, but their debut album (2010) was called Promise Of The Real and their latest (2017) is called Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real. Remember what happened after The Supremes became Diana Ross & The Supremes?

Certainly was aware Slinger, but some others might not be. I did mention it when I put the album in Playing Now... but others may not realise the connection if they didn't join the dots? I'm a big Willie Nelson fan too Him (Lukas) and his band are sensational live - Neil Young is touring with them again in 2018
