That assurance rather implies that they've either a) bungled an important update or b) experienced an attack.

That assurance rather implies that they've either a) bungled an important update or b) experienced an attack. That's why I highlighted, " an error with an overnight software update"; because I'm not sure I believe that 100%. Oh well, I'd better start planning the next few days' dinners. The problem is, I'm sort of " in limbo" until they contact me.

I'm going shopping tomorrow so I hope they've sorted out their contactless or card payments by then.

It's a good job I checked back... The latest from Sainsbury's. There was one slot open for tomorrow afternoon (which wasn't there earlier) and it's now MY slot.

today's petty annnouce, replacing the lower drivers side under knee air bag and bonnet catch/obd port under cover on the new ride, total PIA location lugs you cannot see unless your Superman or Mr Fantastic. After hours or so of think I need a couple of minutes with the twat that designed this configuration, then had a positive brain fart, so I used a micro inspection camera that like a vets Laparoscope. Hey presto once you can see the unique latching method then its all hunky dory. Imagine in a few years none of this will be possible by joe bod, the vehicle manufacturers will engineer this right out, so you will need a shitty PCP and maintainace package, big brothers is getting awfully close now. Thats it my gripe for the day, other than gold note ph10 phonostage is designed along similar lines. Right now where did I put my Robin Hood outfit?

17:45 kick-offs. Too early to have dinner first, and I'm going to have to start cooking dinner before the match finishes. I have work arounds for things I cannot change Could you bear to record it and watch later ?

I'm with you on poor design for certain cars. Try replacing a sidelight bulb in a Mini - yes, via the wheel arch with the wheel turned all the way and thin hands requiring seven fingers to guide the bastard in. Others require the headlight to be removed. These people should be forced to own one of their own designs as reasonable punishment.

I still have nightmares about helping a mate change the water pump on a mini - a " quick job" (he assured me) which we were going to do during our lunch hours. Transverse engine, nothing's where it ought to be, what you can actually see you probably can't reach, and the hand size of a malnourished 5-year-old child would have been useful too. We were caught red (Hermetite)-handed getting back from lunch, very late. I think there was actually more Red Hermetite on us than the gasket.

Final word (I hope) on the Sainsbury's debacle - I've just checked my order, to add a couple more things, and found a £10 voucher in my account as a " sorry we fucked up" apology. Interestingly, Tesco had problems too - A Tesco spokesperson told The Mirror: “We are working to fix a technical issue which has meant we have had to cancel some online orders that were due for delivery today. We’re sorry for the inconvenience.” People will receive an email if they are affected and if the order was cancelled they will not be charged.Yesterday , McDonald's customers say they were turned away from restaurants around the world, including in the UK, after the fast food chain was hit by major IT problems.Just sayin'...

How are we doing with the M25 closure and works ? Apart from the poor people living on the official deviation route I would think pretty good
BBC website promised but utterly failed to deliver Clickbait headline then the mixed ramblings of a variety of people I assume - and not edited. Hopeless

The BBC coverage has been poor, as you say. The only update was the photo of the bridge being demolished.

So much of the BBC coverage of anything is rubbish
See headline Click and read When you finish and come out you realise what the headline said is not what you read
Not much different elsewhere

BBC News on TV is even worse since their merger with BBC World. Utterly haphazard and the extensive use of Laura Kuensberg is unhelpful as she is anything but impartial. They should have Victoria Derbyshire in a more prominent position, too.

Kuenssberg is married to James Kelly, a management consultant. Brother David - works for the Home Office. Sister Joanna works for Shell Oil as vice president of government relations with Russia then VP Corporate Relations Mena/CIS
Kuenssberg's father and husband are both Tory party donors.
{sarcasm}Thank heavens she manages to remain impartial.{/sarcasm}
