Just read a bit of that thread, what a shocker. Some dude 'invested' 3K. It’s ridiculous how much money he’s taken. Now he doesn’t want to continue justifying himself on PFM, well boo hoo for him, what about all the people that have invested money and see no return.

<Was it David Bailey who said, I paraphrase "a famous cook said to me that my photos were excellent and that I must have a really good camera. So I replied that her cooking was superb and she must have really good pans".>
Reputably Ansel Adams, but I suspect it an 'urban myth' type quote, even though excellent. David Bailey is attributed with, "Never let the truth get in the way of a good story" I believe.

They're of mild interest but they have no soul. Expensive even 2nd hand. Poor build quality, reliability and road handling I read. Fantastic in a straight line

People that put others down because they do not compare to their ideals.

This just winds me up beyond belief, what right does anyone have to call anyone thick, irrespective of whether they have Dyslexia or just spelled something wrong!!!

As my wife found out with her heart condition, if you can't "see" a disability then it obviously doesn't exist as far narrow-minded idiots are concerned.

Don’t get me started on ‘invisible’ health conditions, Paul. Oh and how doctors give you medications that adjust your metabolism, and then are heavily critical about weight gain!

I know all about that! They should give you support and encouragement to lose weight ...

I frickin' can't stand this new trend of punters walking around with their mobiles on loudspeaker. Just more selfish and inconsiderate bottom feeding shitery. Is it so difficult to hold your phone to your ear??

More than a 'petty annoyance' - the use of the word 'woke'. The original meaning was 'being conscious of racial discrimination in society and other forms of oppression and injustice' but it seems to have morphed into more generalised use, especially by those people who are quick to judge others who don't measure up to their narrow preconceptions of what constitutes appropriate attitudes and behaviour in the 21st century - if you are not 'woke', you are 'non grata'. www.npr.org/2018/12/30/680899262/opinion-its-time-to-put-woke-to-sleep?t=1573298589165Here's the key for me - < Emily Brewster, an associate editor at Merriam-Webster sees parallels with the phrase "politically correct," which is defined as "conforming to a belief that language and practices which could offend political sensibilities (as in matters of sex or race) should be eliminated," but at this point usually means something pretty different. >

Like, far out man. Every generation has, like their own words, and, like phrases? And you know what daddy-o? The generation above them thinks they are decidedly uncool, man, and definitely not the bees knees.
Whelp, I'm off to recite some jazz-poetry and play my bongos now, which will be totally copacetic, and way cool, dude. Pretty sure I'll be able to pick up a skirt with Betty Gable gams too, unless I run out of scratch first.

The utter bastard on Gumtree selling 8 GEC KT88s for £50. Then telling me they're not available.
Obviously found out what they're really worth.
