Back when I was a teen, it was Nicky Horne's Your Mother Wouldn't Like it on Capital Radio. I also listened to a bit of Radio Caroline and Radio Luxembourg.
Now, it's Radio Paradise (internet) and Radio 4 in the car.
What did/do you listen to?

The tuner attached to the main system is pretty much welded to Classic FM. In the living room it's more likely to be The Arrow.

When I was a young 'un it used to be: The Navy Lark, Round The Horn, Beyond Our Ken, The Likely Lads, Tony Hancock, Jimmy Clithero, The Arthur Askey Show, The Arthur Haines Show, Frankie Howard, Ted Ray, Dad's Army Benny Hill Steptoe And Son - which might account for my sense of hour - which seems to be a problem for some here. Sunday night after evening mass getting ready for a bath for school next day, when I lived with my Gran, Cliff Adams' Sing Something Simple with The Black And White Minstrels. What a mournful and depressing hour that was. Clinton Ford, Edmundo Ross, Max Jaffa, Family Favourites, Tin Tin, Dick Barton, Sexton Blake and Paul Temple, Ray Alan with Lord Charles (ventriloquist act). Radio Luxembourg (Tony Prince) & Caroline. I found a US Forces station that used to be good. In the 70s/80s The Goodies, a number of Radio 4 comedy shows which I can't remember the names of and The News Huddlines. I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue used to be a howl when Humphrey Lyttleton chaired it and Graeme Garden used to be teamed with Barry Cryer. Jack Dee chairs it now and he's not bad.
Now, it's Radio 4 all the time. Sometimes Radio 4 Extra on my mobile and sometimes Classic FM. Toying with the idea of getting a DAB transmitter to use with an old Ferguson radio.

Did anyone else discover Radio Monte Carlo back in the seventies? It was the first place I heard tracks from Colosseum Live...which I went out and bought next day i.i.r.c. And yes, it was the original, with the bits of pot-scourer attached to the inside of the plastic record sleeves that was supposed to clean the record every time you took it out. UGH!

I have to put up with that in Ruth's car. Firstly, it's not intended to reach Basingstoke so it suffers from lots of dropouts. Secondly, it broadcasts mostly soft shite.

Forgot the obvious - Alan Freeman's Pick Of The Pops. Also Brian Matthews's Sounds Of The Sixties, Johnnie Walker and Emperor Rosco. David Jacobs and Journey Into Space.

What about Stuart Henry, and Mike Raven, not to mention John Peel of course. Kenny Everett, Dave Cash, Keith (Cardboard Shoes) Skues, Emperor Roscoe, Tommy (T.V. On The Radio) Vance...

Aye. Used to like listening to Stuart Henry. Saw a documentary about him years ago and it was so sad to see how multiple sclerosis had effected him. Died in '95.

Radio Luxembourg in my very early days. Radio London (pirate version) Radio 1 but only for John Peel, oh Emperor Roscoe, possibly others when I was desparate. Radio London BBC version, Mike Sparrow was good. These days Radio 2 (!) for Paul Jones and what the Tivo picks up for me. Lots from BBC6, including Stuart Maconie, certain keywords pick up concerts and sessions of some very old shows. Vintage TV - yes I know it's TV, but some good stuff on there

I have to give praise for the new Radio Paradise site, giving a full playlist for recent tracks, allowing you to rate them, displaying lyrics and the Wikipedia article. It's overall really well designed and remains my favourite radio station. radioparadise.com/player

I rarely listen to radio these days but, in my youth, and living on the South Coast, it tended to be Radio Luxenburg, and the John Peel show. I occasionally put the radio on in the car and, if I can find anything at all, (it's a crap radio) it's likely to be Radio 2, sometimes 3 and, rarely, 4. Indoors it will be Radio Paradise, although mainly when I'm in Germany. If I'm in the workshop on Saturday, then I will sometimes listen to the Jazz programme.

I'm with the oldies and remember all those shows (they're still around on R4Extra a lot of the time) Radio Luxembourg in my youth, nowadays almost exclusively R4 - Our dinner time coincides nicely with the 6:30pm comedy slot such as Mr Whippy says, though I think the standard has fallen a bit and there's a few that I don't listen to.

Classic FM (still) or Radio Paradise's FLAC stream via Volumio are pretty much "it" these days.

98. 5 FM The Sports Hub 93.7 WEEI
Both are Boston sports radio channels. Ive so much music content to stream through apps or play CD's purchased of bands I've discovered through streaming apps that now I find myself listening exclusively to talk when I get on the radio.
