Not my first choice, was originally going for a GS450h, that sold. Second was an XF sport, that sold. Third was a C350. Guess what happened. Fourth that had caught my eye was the 535.
I’m happy with it though, it’s a rocket ship. Run flats are a bit noisy though so might get rid of them when I’m due a change. Rears are 275/35/19, so might look for some 18” wheels which will mean a better ride and cheaper tyres.

Yes, I hated the run-flats and got rid of them, too. Horrible things with a nasty hard ride and no grip.

Yes, it can get a bit lively accelerating out of a roundabout in the wet.

Ford Festa, Humm I'll pass thank you. Certainly not an Audi pretty much all of the Beemer owners seem to be migrating there and the road attitude has taken a nose dive from the usual 'Indicators are optional arrogance comes as standard' to the new Audi mentality of Roy Gregory proportions. Our neighbour traded his Aston for the XF sport apart from the 'Its an Aston look' when parking he found the Jag was pretty close all round, plus in his words 'It didn't cost £3K for them to lift the bonnet and put a stamp in the book' All of the three German manufacturers make great cars, but the majority are very generic, all go and stop really well, build quality is usually great, running costs can be great or not so depending on model and so on and so on. It's like many on forum behind the wheel it is like the personality changes, keyboard warriors and weaponized mind set I'm in a Beemer/audi/Merc I own the road, the last parking space, I dictate the pace, you will bow before the will of Ming etc. Merc's tend to be driven by older farts and young look at me (AMG versions anyway) mid point city bankers/junior hedge funds runners and SME owners, they are at least in this area of the country! Mind you, they all pale in to insignificance compared to Asian Toyota Prius owners. These fiends of the roadways were created in the deepest bowels of hell on the lowest plane by a twisted evil genius of a lower order devil who was in a particularly devious frame of mind on a bored Sunday afternoon when the usual torturing session of Bernard Manning wasn't going so well. My car days are restricted to weekend runs in the small C class, still manage close to 40Mpg on reason trip, not bad for a 1400Kg vehicle with just over 1200lbs of torque. Martins recommendations of losing the run flats is absolutely a first class idea, they are grim at best!

All of the three German manufacturers make great cars, but the majority are very generic I agree with this, having had a run of four BMWs. To be honest, I got bored with them. If I compare my BRZ with my previous BMW 335d M-Sport Coupe or Ruth's Audi TTS, the German cars are very well built but very heavy (1.7 tonnes versus my 1.2 tonnes) and have a suspension that appears to grip and handle well but are notorious for letting go in an unpredictable manner. The Germans substitute enormous rubber to generate the levels of grip - mine had 265 rears - and yet the wear rate is prodigious when cornering with all that weight. My BRZ's relatively skinny 225s generate more grip and the suspension/tyre combination is very progressive and easy to catch (or play with) close to the limit. Finally, the Germans love having a part or parts that are fearsomely expensive to service and hard to get anywhere other than from a main dealer, like the DPF filter in my BMW or the bloody Haldex four-wheel-drive fluid system in the Audi. It's a horror and can go wrong with an almighty bill to pay. How many Audi drivers realise this when buying a Quattro car?

Bit of info needed please , I've got two cars , 6year old E Class Coupe 350 and a 19 year old Bmw Z3 , on the same roads the Bmw drives straight as a die , steering wheel spot on , the Merc drives straight but the steering wheel tends to want to be about 11 o'clock , I say wants to be as I feel the camber of the road is pulling it . Anyway it went to ATS today for an MOT and I got their computerised tracking checker test done , it was adjusted very slightly . The steering wheel is worse now , they are re-looking at it on Tuesday. Any ideas ?

Bent steering arm? Rear suspension out of kilter? Something isn't right.
On the Z3, I co-drove a 2.8 around France a few years back and it's a lovely little sports car, well balanced and a real pleasure to drive.

Easy when it fits exactly onto the right spline for centred steering.

I'm going to have a supercharger installed in my Subaru BRZ. After I drop the car off tomorrow to have the work done, I have a day of music and chilling to look forward to

1998 Daihatsu fourtrak riviera. It's old i know but i have had it since 18 months old, only 70,000 miles, done all the servicing myself in that time. It has only let me down once and that was a fuel solenoid about 6 years ago. Usual new battery, exhaust, tyres, brake pads, service items. It owes me nothing, in fact i probably owe it plenty. Going to keep it going until it dies. Its a proper 4x4 and gets use in 4wd most days unlike most of the pretend 4x4's you see on the road (school run anyone).

Those are bombproof, possibly the most reliable vehicle ever built.

I hope so. The installation has been completed and it's going on the dyno tomorrow morning for mapping. I should be able to pick it up tomorrow afternoon.
I did some calculations and the power/weight ratio will be better than my previous fastest car, a remapped BMW 335d and considerably higher than the BMW 540i I once owned.
Of course, for road use it's all about torque, not power. That's why I chose a supercharger over a turbo conversion.
