There's an article on the BBC News website this morning about how recording the audio stream from Spotify, You Tube etc via third party web sites is growing massively. Stream-ripping is 'fastest growing' music piracy Wow! When asked, these were the reasons that people gave for doing it:

I use a YouTube download application called VideoGet but that's because the clips are used in school and we can't always rely on the internet feed. We put the files into network shares for use by staff. We do have a reproduction licence which allows limited use of these as long as we don't redistribute them.

It will kill streaming eventually as artists will pull their recordings. The 'I can't afford music' and 'Its's overpriced' excuses are a laugh as it's already free if you put up with ads. I can see the CD revival coming.
