Working my way through what I recorded and now onto BBC iPlayer which has, at a guess 20 odd programmes so a rich seam to mine.
So far Pretenders - Nice to see Chrissie doing her stuff. SQ so so. Worth a watch Father Johm Misty - Boring The Amazons - Great band. My first discovery Rag n bone man - 2nd rate soul. Nice to see the homeless in work though Fashion victim beards also in the mix. Goldfrapp - ok. Even with a few of her albums I'm still not sure I'm a fan. Slaves - remember them from last year and looked forward . Nope not for me. Killers - ok. Seem like good guys. Still not sure I'm a fan
Cinematic Orchestra - Good. Albums even better and most are essential. Flavour of Soft Machine in there. <later> oh this is very good indeed, search it out and become a fan
Wonder if I'll see them all before they drop off.

I thought it very poor this year. Mind you, I'm probably not their main target demographic. Even The Flaming Lips were distinctly average. Kristofferson was quite good, but he's older than me.

Chrissie is older than about all of us too and still looking rather good I'm delighted to have the iPlayer this year as I don't think I have ever seen so much. Assume there are Red Button sets there too. Cinematic Orchestra certainly the best so far by a very long way

I'm trying to find Goldfrapp's performance on YouTube. When we saw her a couple of years ago, it was one of the best gigs we'd ever seen.

Mostly her disco/dance period, but still good. She is one of the few singers with supreme control over her voice (as with k d lang, Sia and Sarah McLachlan) which I just love hearing. Would have enjoyed being there for that.

I'm trying to find Goldfrapp's performance on YouTube. When we saw her a couple of years ago, it was one of the best gigs we'd ever seen. I found them a bit flat. Smaller band ? and sound in the John Peel 'tent' not as good as the big stages maybe. Suggest check out First Aid Kit and Pretenders were great. Rest mostly not to my taste. Yet to check out Elbow. A good thing it's a fallow year next I think. There needs to be a rethink as what constitutes a suitable headline act on Saturday and Sunday. Most of the better acts were on early at bottom of the list and did not get live airplay by BBC.

First Aid Kit are always good, will have a look on iPlayer.
EDIT: oh yes, they're as good as ever, with perfect harmonising.

Try the Motown and Stax back catalogue I personally like Rag'n'Bone Man's music, some of the tracks are a bit questionable and the recording is iPad generation crap, but I liked the album. Tried Otis and wasn't my thing. Will have a look at Sam and Dave.

Not Glasto, but this will give you an idea. They're Swedish sisters.

The cover reminds me of 'The Wicker Man'! I think they have now gone a bit commercial with 'Stay Gold', their latest lp - Lion's Roar is darker and more interesting to me ...

There is so much better. I'm quite used to being outvoted though The look of the guy is not a plus. When you said his vocals were not coming out right in your system I mistook that for you not liking him much
