I really didn't want to have to part with the heart of my system, but greater needs are calling. My Classe Sigma SSP 7.1 AV pre-amp processor is going to have to make way for something more cost effective for the time being. My speakers went late last year, and since then, this processor has allowed three JR149s to sound absolutely amazing!
I bought this because of just how good it is - not only as a surround processor, but also as a two channel hi-fi pre-amplifier. In a system with the matching Sigma Amp2, the pair were transparent driving a pair of KEF Blades, and if a component can do that, it's good enough for me. There are one or two early reviews that state it can't do next gen surround formats, but they can now do 5.1.2 Atmos. I personally wasn't interested in Atmos, and was only after the best 5.1 I could get at the time.
As far as quality is concerned, I jumped at this because the two channel reproduction was so good, that I felt it was worth every penny just for that aspect alone - on top of that I got multi-channel movie performance that equaled the quality of its two (or more) channel music performance. Very clean, detailed, transparent, smooth. Excellent digital and analogue quality. Onboard PEQ for those that want to tweak, six different speaker configurations assignable to any of the 19 inputs, plus streaming and AirPlay.

I'll be looking for £3,000 for this - they're £4250 new, and the about to be released version that passes 4K is £5000. Classe are a very good company with regards to support, so there should be an upgrade option for this 4K board at some point, if it's not in the pipeline already (I'm guessing this may be the cost difference between the non 4K and the 4K version). Complete with original box and packaging, a few extra batteries for the remote, and is in virtually pristine condition. It is about a year and a half old if I recall correctly (Nov 2015 I think)
