I have been tempted to cut the captive cables on my Exposure amps but I am far too scared in case I damage them and also non-modified Exposure amps are more sort after when/if I come to sell them. Desolder and remove them uncut, they can be replaced if you decide to sell.

Yeah but won't it be obvious that someone has desoldered and then re-soldered them?, I really am inexperienced so would likely make a hash job of it LOL.

Cut and put a female IEC in
Sort the problem if and when you sell the Exposures

hmm, I'll have a think about it, I know that Exposure kit generally sells easier and for a better when left alone rather than modified in anyway.
