Showed the boss who asks if you are graphic designer......? Nothing quite so grand, it's just a hobby, although I'm a bit out of practice now. When I was contracting I got a 3 month gig at a studio that specialised in 3D work and it sort of stuck. I got so interested that they were happy for me to blag some of their software when I left and it took off from there. I ended up rebuilding and co-administering a 3D web forum/gallery for quite a few years, until it folded. Save

Bet there are some 'graphic designers' who cannot do what you did there. Can't think of any that impressed me with 30 odd years in print

Duet plumbed into the existing system and working like a dream. One setup hiccup (something they don't mention in the instruction booklet) easily solved because Google is your friend.

Nice one Paul. So what was the hiccup you solved?

The handset just kept searching for the receiver with no success even though I'd set the receiver up with a wired connection because I'd heard that there could be a lag between pressing buttons and anything actually happening over a wireless connection. Googled the problem and I found that what the book doesn't make plain is that if the light/button on the front of the receiver isn't red and flashing you have to hold it in until it is. Did that and the setup completed immediately. Updated the software, which I was invited to do once setup was complete and Robert's your dad's brother. Radio works, playing files works and I'm a happy bunny. Even the missus was mildly impressed...until she found out that I didn't actually have any Police albums on my drive.

Google came to my rescue doing a new version of a company return today. Just a bit useful. If in doubt Google it

Nice one. Do you want to access BBC iPlayer content? Thanks for the thought, but I'm not sure I'd ever use it. I've got all of the BBC radio programs sorted on the Squeezebox and iPlayer is on the TV and the internet.

I thought I'd finish the 3D model of the Duet and see if I remembered how to render things. It's been a few years, but I'm pleased with the result...

There's a 3rd party app, originally written by one of the development team (username Triode), and updated by another member of the development team (username BPA). It integrates well with LMS, gives live DASH playback, plus all the listen again content. It has higher quality streams than the MP3 streams accessed via mysq.com
