Great news. I hope their business plan has a fallback position, too.

I'm all for it, but one day vinyl and CDs will fall out of favour. People like me will scoop them up, of course.

Yep I'm fed up of crazy second hand vinyl prices but I fear it is here to stay for some time ...
The vinyl resurgence is cool but needs to be more quality control - there are too many people trying to make a quick buck. I find the cheaper new pressings are all too often crap but the fancy all-analogue affairs are all too often beyond my means ...

Also, too many records now are sourced from digital. Pointless.

Jeez, there's a new kind of Dolby in town for records. Only, not the kind you want to hear.

Also, too many records now are sourced from digital. Pointless. Exactly my argument & the reason i call it a fad cos at the end of the day they may as well just buy a CD.

The production mastering for vinyl and CD is often very different. Vinyl generally doesn't receive the same degree of production mastering butchery as a result.

Agreed that can happen, but I prefer the recording to be preserved in its original format. If it's digital, it makes sense to keep it in the digital domain.

Do love AAA records myself & Modern Digital recordings on vinyl can & do sound fab 16/44.1 to DSD/DXD etc but far too many are poorly mastered , compressed red book masteres pressed on vinyl
