Has anyone seen or got one of these mains connectors. It's similar to the ones you find on the back of Vintage British Amps Quad '33'/Leak 'Stereo 30+70'/Ferrograph 'F307' etc etc but im wanting a miniature one you see on Vintage Japanese amps. Blade centres are approx 1/2"

Just finishing Rebuilding/Restoring Trio Amp & Tuner. All original with exception to the Mains lead & the new components obviously, Just fitted a mains cable gland, removed the dangerous, by todays standards bell wire mains lead.. Just got the new to fit. Anyway the sockets in question are to the right side of the rear. Im hopefully going to use one to power the Tuner only.

Nice looking amp - you doing it up yourself? I'd be very curious to try one of those out!

Takes me some time with Work commitments but i get there, My Equipment generally looks like it's just left the showroom. Don't think for one moment you can buy one from the Bay & expect it to sound great, a common mistake folk make hence usually judge what they hear buy an unserviced amp.. They need service. I have a total of four Trio amps now 'KA-2000'/'KA-2000a'/'TK-150'/'KA-4002'.. Pick up any early 70's Hi-Fi mag these amps always hag glowing reviews..only low power though remember.. As Dave rightly pointed out quite a few 70's Japanese amps can & generally do sound better than the Brit stuff back then, just that snobs wont have it btw: these early amps were branded Trio in the UK, Kenwood elsewhere.

Not only is it a nice looking amp (beautiful AFAIC) it's also well put together for the internal pics I've seen. Stacked with the matching tuner it looks utterly gorgeous.. Andr'e you do indeed have fine taste!
