As there's not a dedicated AV sub-forum I've plonked this here... I run Kodi on my desktop and I've just ordered a Beelink GT1 Kodi box for the telly, from Amazon. Has anyone else bought one, or is anyone considering the purchase of one? If you haven't heard of Kodi (yet) there's more info on it here...

People at work are very complimentary but my TV doesn't have the connectivity. I'm sticking with CRT as I think flat screen technology is probably a fad.

Of course, as you know, the box itself is perfectly legal, as is the Kodi software. It's the add-ons to the software that some unscrupulous brigands are installing that is the current bone of contention. Just a quick follow-up. The box was a doddle to set up with one caveat. The 'audio out' port is optical (Toslink) but no optical cable is included with the Beelink. Also I'd recommend one of these mini wireless controllers or similar to set up and later to use things like the search facility. Not strictly necessary, but it makes life that little bit easier.
