Mmm, the original CD of DSotM is pretty poor whereas the EMI SACD is superb.

These vinyl reissues are excellent in spite of using a digital step. The Wall is pretty close to an original and Atom Heart Mother + More best I have heard them. Others may not be quite as good as the best early pressings but less surface noise guaranteed. DSOTM is not nearly as good as the AAA 30th Anniv (2003) or original. Bought the lot for completeness and am not disappointed. All now available except Final Cut and Momentary Lapse of Reason which are due in the spring.

Now that I think of it, I would love a good mastering of A Saucerful of Secrets. No worries

Sorry Martin. Thread skimming. Andre is right - I have originals bought in my youff. Both LP's (originals) are good recordings, although the Saucerful is a bit '60's EMI

Always try Getting hold of the 1980's Japanese pressing of the Floyds, They were great, The sleeve construction & quality was top notch too. I think this is what is up with me i am always comparing new editions with the best of the old..

Thanks, guys. I was surprised that I had 'missed' such a remaster.
I do have Saucerful on original vinyl and CD.

I've got the original MoFi Dark Side and I don't like it much. The EMI SACD is far better.

There is a 2016 remaster on vinyl of ASOS currently available. It's fine but not as good as my 2nd pressing. There were also CD remasters done around 2012. Someone wanted The Wall? - certainly would suggest the new 2016 vinyl remaster as it's almost as good as an original and devoid of the surface noise. Avoid the 2012 vinyl as it was pants.
