Long shot. Does anyone here in the UK have any dealings with Swedish suppliers and have deliveries from them ?
I'm looking to get some capacitors for my revised 833a power supply, and I found some on Ebay in Sweden at a "reasonable" price (£40 ish) but the carriage is expensive (like $70 for two).
They are 50uf @ 2KV and weigh 2.9 Kg each.

OR has anyone got anything similar in their spares box ?

I would be VERY nervous working on an amp with those voltage rails

Yep, although Phil has done similar before, and having myself listened to a few DIY'd high voltage, big PSU 'Boat Anchor' amps in the past, the sound reproduction in a domestic setting is awe inspiring. The authority of sound is something else!

I buy from Lundahl from time to time. Always fantastic Swedish efficient service (I have to say that as wife is Swedish:) ). Also have bought direct from Janzen who are Danish.

OR has anyone got anything similar in their spares box ? Cheese & pickle sandwich any good? Cannot vouch for it's dielectric value being as good. It'll taste better, though.
