That must be a bloody strong vacuum cleaner. Most of that popcorn will have assumed the properties of superglue on contact with carpeting.

Richard Feynman was one of the greatest human beings of the 20th century. More people should read about him than about most so-called important figures.
His biography "Surely You're Joking, Mr Feynman" is an excellent read.

Seeing Jerry's Venn diagrams made me chuckle. It reminded me that, when I was at school studying 'O' level maths, we were given brand new textbooks, which were so new they were actually titled "New Maths," and they introduced us to, among other things, Venn diagrams, which none of us had ever seen before.
Those were, obviously, the days when one was "given" text-books at school, and exercise books too, and a "rough book" for general scribblings, and all we were expected to provide were writing implements and the odd, ruler, protractor, a pair of compasses, and a briefcase (or a satchel) to carry everything in.
Our 'O' level maths papers had a note at the top stating that "Electronic calculators must not be used." These were also the days of "...and show your working out in the margins."
By the time my son started secondary school we were expected to provide a decent scientific calculator. That was, I believe, the beginning of the end as far as schools providing almost everything pupils needed to complete their lessons was concerned.
