For less than the cost of MikeMusics electric socket one can have an RPi3, IQAudio DAC+, Moode (free) and excellent quality music. Nah Sorry Mike, but this really made me chuckle

I've just updated from Moode 2.5 (I think ) to 3.1. I'm trying to upload the playlists from the old version using rp user and I keep getting a permission error. Is there a root user I should be using?

Do you guys still use Moode?
I've been searching quite a while now for an audio player that I can put on multiple rpis and have syncronised playback. Does it do that well?
I loved volumio, but never managed to get anything to sync with snapcast.
Max2play has been ok and I can get things to sync, but end up with more issues than I started with everytime I turn it on.
If it is based on volumio, and does synced playback, it may well be worth the 10 bucks.
Integrated spotify would be extremely high on the wishlist though. The reason to have it as opposed to airplay, which no-one here has mentioned, is that airplay gets interupted by phone calls- that is very irritating.
Let me know what everyones thoughts are these days. I'm pretty much ready to cut my losses with max2play and give it away

I'm pretty much ready to cut my losses with max2play and give it away Ryan I have Spotify Connect running on MoOde now, works great and no issues switching between Spotify Connect and back to MoOde for radio, files etc. If you know how to SSH into your Pi then ask you need to do is expand the SD card within MoOde System Settings, then input 1 line of code via SSH and then wait for it to fully install. If you do know how to SSH using Putty or similar then just copy this line: curl -sL dtcooper.github.io/raspotify/install.sh | sh Then paste that into the command box and then wait 5-10 minutes for it to fully install. You'll know it's done when you get back to the main prompt that you get when you first log into the Pi via SSH. First time I've successfully managed to get Spotify Connect to run alongside MoOde. How long it will work I've no idea as Spotify are dropping librespot support, but I'm sure a workaround will appear.

I use Spotify Connect with the latest Volumio build and it works perfectly. Yip, have that on my Sparky system in the computer room. But I prefer MoOde on my main system as I find Volumio on the Sparky can be a bit temperamental.

For those who use Moode a note to say.... Version 4 is in Beta 9 and getting close to final. However Tim will not be offering an image (licencing of freeware). You have to compile it from a recipe which can look off putting to none IT Souls. The Artists amongst us. But is not as intimidating as it looks with steady copy and paste (don't have to retype). It takes about 2 hours and people are writing automated scripts. Have a look at www.diyaudio.com/forums/pc-based/271811-moode-audio-player-raspberry-pi-1111.html go to latest link.
