From: www.diyaudio.com/forums/pc-based/271811-moode-audio-player-raspberry-pi-148.htmlI've had a strange issue with 2.5, that I didn't have with 2.4, and Im curious if anyone else is experiencing this. After an uncertain amount of time, occasionally, I loose the ability to connect to moode.local. Whatever browser I'm using tries to connect, but just hangs forever. I am able to ssh into the Moode terminal just fine and can restart the pi through there. After the restart I can quickly connects to moode.local again. I am using an airport express and an Ethernet cable to connect the pi to my network (5Ghz). Unplugging power from the express and reconnecting it also kicks moode.local back into gear. I have no problems with streaming or using airplay in Moode (even when i cant connect), just the occasional loss of connection from a browser. Maybe its my network, but I find it strange that I can still connect ssh and streaming doesn't cut out. Otherwise I am really happy with Moode. me too using cat 5

Having spent a day with TR3 - it's pretty good. The final should be excellent.
One niggle on my Chrome browser is the quickness of disconnecting needing Reconnect button to be pressed. It can happen even when you are using it! Then it doesn't disconnect for minutes
I haven't explored all the features you have improved/added by any means but I do like the Play option when using the button on the right of a track listed.
How about a Fresh button on the Tool Bar perhaps?
Thanks for your efforts

Hi Alan,
The RECONNECT screen appears when the network connection between the Browser and the Pi is interrupted either by an actual network interruption or if the Pi is powered off.
I'm not quite sure I understand the symptoms you are describing but I'm not seeing any type of spontaneous disconnects with TR3 in my environment

I think you'll find it's due to whatever item there are using to control the Pi going to standby, ie my smart phone does this but only because I closed the case cover essentially putting the phone in rest mode, my iPad does the same after 2 minutes.
Not unexpected as it's basically cutting the signal to MoOde.
With wherever they are using they need to stop control device going into standby and I bet that fixes the issue.

Hi Mike,
Thats essentially correct. The device turns off its network adapter to save energy.
After looking at the reconnect code I've made a change that performs auto-reconnect except after reboot or power on from power off. It needs more testing but I think it might greatly reduce the need to press the reconnect button :-)

Great that you're so responsive to user requests, Tim.
I really must get Moode loaded and try it out. Still wish you supported Spotify, though.

Tim
Just downloaded and extracted the IMG file but it is moode-sdimg-r24.img which makes me uneasy using it.
Your thoughts?
Edit
I loaded it anyway and fine 2.5 runs.

Tim
I've been checking your tweets. Nothing since Apr 2 though. Whilst I haven't gone for a Pi 3 I am looking forward to 2.6.
When do you reckon it might be?
